June 2 is the final Sunday of Sunday school at the Guilford Community Church, UCC, and the children will share some of their learning about the Holy Land, along with their Spring theme song “We Are All One Family Under One Sky”. The congregation will also welcome four new members at the 10am service. Stennie Nelson, Rachel Bell, Blessed Ngoma and Mary Mader are the first of eight people joining the church this month, a source of jubilation for the church. The service will also mark Memorial Day and the graduation of many young people in the church. Music for the day under the direction of Peter Amidon, includes “Brother Sun, Sister Moon” from the Missa Gaia and “No One Stands Alone”. The Rev. Lise Sparrow will reflect on the theme “Choices We Make” and passages found in Revelations 22 and John 17.
Everyone is welcome.
