Second Sunday of Easter

Kathy Bullock, “gospel legend”, is the choirmaster for the April 29 service . The choir will meet at 8:30am to rehearse three anthems: the familiar “Alleluia”, the Colorado Mass Choir piece, “Still Have Joy” and “Trust Me” by Richard Smallwood, Dr. Bullock’s research in sub African and African-American music and culture, and influences of/connections in the African diaspora has afforded her the opportunity to give numerous presentations, performances, lectures and workshops throughout the United States, Europe and Africa. Rev. Lise Sparrow will lead worship and offer the homily based on Luke’s telling of the aftermath of the Resurrection found in Luke 24: 13-29. The Sunday School will continue its conversation with children in Palestine with Elizabeth Fisher providing the livestream connection. Nursery care is also provided
