Sunday, September 1

Our children and teachers are starting back to school- doing the labor that builds our future and our nation is taking a day of celebration to lift up every laborer.  Guilford Community Church, UCC, will center its September 1, 10am worship to honor each of these labors and their blessings to us all.  Fred Breunig will lead the choir in two anthems: ‘I’m Gonna Live So God Can  Use Me”, and African American spiritual and “Thanksgiving Eve” by Bob Franke. Rev.Lise Sparrow will lead worship and offer a blessing to the children and teachers.  It is a service of Holy Communion to which everyone is invited. Nursery care and childcare are provided for children of the Sunday school who will also bless the newly refurbished playground and work on finished the ABC’s of Christianity book they have been working on this summer.  Fall Sunday school begins next week with a focus on our connections to children around the world.
