The August 9 service forcuses on forgiveness and letting go. Music for the day under the direction of Peter Amidon includes a chant for the introit “All Will Be Well” based on the words of Julian of Norwich as well as hymns “There Is A Balm in Gilead”, “Wherever I May Wander” and “All I Ask of You Is Forever to Remember Me As Loving You”. Anthems include “Eli, Eli”, a Hebrew hymn, and “Day by Day” from “Godspell”. The program and credits can be found on the guilfordchurch.org website. The children’s story, “The Voice” will be read by Finn and June Breismeister. Rev. Lise Sparrow will share reflections on forgiveness based on the scripture found in Genesis 33: 1-11 and in John 4:6-26.
