All Saints/All Souls

Sunday, November 1

Join us this Sunday, November 1st,  for our celebration of All Saints Day and sharing of a sacred meal together. During our time together we will honor the saints in our lives, congregation and community through music, candle lighting and prayers. The sermon by Pastor Lucozzi is called “Blessed Are the Ones.” Music under the direction of Andy Davis includes the anthems, “Shall We Gather at the River” and the African-American spiritual “Soon I Will Be Done.”  Hymns for this Sunday include “Angels Hovering Round,” ”I Sing a Song of the Saints of God” as well as “For All the Saints.” Sunday’s service features two special pieces of music:  an introit “When the Saints Go Marching In” featuring Kachina Autenrieth and her band “The Barn Raisers”, and for our candle lighting, “Still There Is Love”, a poem by Edith Newlin Chase set to music by Andy Davis. The children’s story for our service is “Pascual and the Kitchen Angels” by Tomie DePaolo. Everyone is welcome.
