Sunday – October 13

Rev Larrimore Crockett will lead the choir at 10am worship on October 13, with Rachel Johnson as organist. The Introit for the day is from Zimbabwe, “Uyai Mose” (Come all you people) and anthems include “Balm in Gilead” and “Here, Master, in this Quiet Place”. For the children’s story Blessed Ngoma will share photos of the children in Zambia who receive the books the church is collecting for  the Munali Youth Empowerment Program (MYEP). During the rest of the service the children will take part in either nursery care or in hearing more from Mr Ngoma. . Rev. Lise Sparrow will lead the worship service and offer reflections on the scripture for the day found in Jeremiah 29:1, 4-7 and Luke 17:11-19.

After the service everyone is invited to meet with Daniel Quipp, local Selectboard member and Southern Vermont Community Organizer for Vermont Interfaith Action (VIA).  Daniel will share his latest efforts with us and identify ways we might collaborate with VIA in the future. The VIA Mission is:  to create solutions to systemic issues that prevent our most vulnerable citizens from enjoying the quality of life God intends for us all. Everyone is welcome.
