Sunday, October 25

Join us Sunday for the third service in our series focused on slogans of the United Church of Christ. This Sunday we discuss what it means to “be the church.” Readings for this service will include the gospel of Matthew and a piece entitled Letter from Our Better Angels by Sean Parker Dennison. The sermon by Pastor Lucozzi is called “Be the Church: The Bottom Line.” Music under the direction of Peter Amidon includes the anthems, “Give Us A Song” by Jonathan Edwards and “Psalm 126” by Mary Alice Amidon, arranged Peter Amidon. Hymns for this Sunday include “In Christ There is No East or West,” “This Little Light of Mine” as well as “To Be A Doer of the Word ” adapted by Thomas Cary Kinder and arranged by Peter Amidon. The children’s story for our service is Wangari’s Trees of Peace by Jeanette Winter. Prayers and concerns for the world and our time are also a regular part of our time together. Everyone is welcome.
